An updated structure of the Local Government, Growth and Communities unit inside MHCLG has been published.
The new senior and junior organograms are correct as of 31 December 2025.
Seven directors report to the unit’s Director General, Will Garton. They are:
- Nico Hislop (Local Government Finance)
- Kay Withers (Communities & Inclusive Growth)
- Chris Jones (Local Government Oversight & Accountability)
- Stuart Ison (Elections)
- Sophie Langdale (Local Government Reform & Strategy)
- Frances Oram (Local Government Reform & Strategy)
- William Davis (Local Growth & Devolution)
